St George City have confirmed their place in Football NSW NPL 2 Mens competition for 2020 and thus secured its place in the top tier of NPL Youth for 2020.
Head of Football, Aytek Genc, was thrilled with achieving the Clubs stated objective.
“All we were focussed on in 2019 was consolidating our position in NPL 2 Mens competition for 2020.
“It is pleasing that we have been able to achieve that, to know we are safe and ensure that our youth development pathway is secured and we look forward to taking our Club forward into the future.” Genc said.
“It is a credit to the players, coaches and staff across the entire Club and I would like to thank everyone for the part they have played this season.” Genc added.
St George City will play the Western Sydney Wanderers this Thursday night at Valentine Sports Park (round 24 catch up game) before finishing the season against Bonnyrigg White Eagles this Sunday at Bonnyrigg Sports Club.
St George City CEO, Craig Kiely, was excited about the future of the Club.
“The rise of St George City has been incredible in the last 4 years and it is a credit to our football department and everyone associated with the Club and wider football district in that time”. Kiely stated.
“Our Club represents this Association, its 23 member Clubs and 10,000 participants and we are determined to continue to build the connection and relationship between St George City and our grassroots teams.
